I have received information from Shahriar Shahriari, Professor of mathematics and the eldest son to our beloved Professor Parviz Shahriari, that he is doing fine and very active living in Tehran at age 82.

He is the editor of Tchissta and Danesh Va Mardom journals. A Foundation named Bonyade Farhangi Parviz Shahriyari has been established with the aim of continuing his work in the exposition of mathematics in their historical and cultural contexts.

I had the honor of being Ostad's student around 1978 in Andishe Don Bosco College in Tehran. During that time I realised the real meaning of mathematics and real meaning of study. I wish to thank him for everything he tought me and wish him the best. I have got my Ph.D. from Australia in photovotaic field of new generation silicon solar cells and currently I am a lecturer in Shahid Beheshti University and I am proud to be Ostad's student of a year.
